“If they don’t like it, they can eat it!” – with this motto a fictitious band for ‘domestic affairs’ Electrodomestics investigates the domestic in the context of the household and relates it to the larger context of the domestic affairs while handling matters that are coined ‘urgent’ or ‘contemporary’ within the ephemeral performance of glam-rock and of pop simplicity and immediacy. Coming as the artistic product of research by choreographer and performance maker Constanza Macras and choreographer/ performance theorist Adham Hafez, Electrodomestics aims at returning to the individual, to the personal, through its series of songs and music performances delivered within accessible – and ridiculous – registers of expression and of experimentation.
