Together with an ensemble of actors and dancers, Constanza Macras creates an evening that she calls a “dystopian science fiction comedy.” A group of different people gathers in a hotel lobby. Are they hiding or waiting? The space is changing: now it is a hotel, a moment later a think tank. Reality shifts. The group experiences an apocalypse they have not expected to come – hyper-reality suddenly replaces reality. Faced with an impending bankruptcy, they set out in search of sense and entertainment and the meaning of representation of the “real,” the physical. The roots of tragedy. Do we need art? Do we need to see a performance to experience the fleeting physical nature of the living arts?

Premiere is on 3th September 2020 in Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus, Großes Haus
